Abstract:
The paper describes an ongoing activities on various sound processing techniques in order to localize active speaker in front of service robot with videoconference abilities. Implemented system is capable to control camera in both directions, horizontal and vertical, as well as to enhance an outgoing speech of local talker to far-end listener. The central point of the paper is given to the sound localization of the dominant speaker under presence of strong echo originated from loudspeakers as well as presence of an ambient noise.
