This paper proposes a new model for the optimal allocation of parking based Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS). The model contains two steps of the EVCS number and locations optimisation process to enhance accessibility for EV drivers. In the first step, the AHP methodology is used for ranking the parking places according to multiple criteria. After that, the optimal number of locations is defined by employing the modified p – median methodology, taking into account the minimization of total distance and total costs. Finally, a validation and feasibility of the proposed model is tested in a case study of EVCS infrastructure optimisation in the city of Nis. Advantages of the proposed decision-making model are explicated through the comparison with similar methodologies for solving the optimisation problem of EVCS site locations.-
