The successful automation of an intelligent building relies on the ability of the smart home system to organize, process, and analyze different sources of information to drive the automation decision-making according to different criteria defined by the user. To this end, a strong and formal support for the knowledge base is central to the system design. In this approach, the new methodology for discrete stochastic multiple criteria decision making problem in intelligent building efficiency assessment, with different types of tradeoffs among criteria has been presented. The advantage of this approach is the usage of compensatory aggregation, which is more suitable for conflicting criteria or the human aggregation behavior.-
